Disposing of and/or Decommissioning X-Ray Equipment
The University is required to keep its registration of x-ray and other radiation producing equipment up to date with the Minnesota Department of Health. There are also requirements for the proper disposal of hazardous chemicals, electronics, and heavy metals that can be associated with this type of equipment.
Any x-ray equipment that is sold, traded in, transferred, disposed of, or decommissioned must be reported to the Department of Radiation Safety (DRS) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).
You may use the x-ray equipment removal form to send the necessary information to DRS.
